I’ve been up to whimsical mischief again, brewing on Victorian organizational magic with my new friend Sheri! When she started following WoW, I had to visit her site, and I found much spiritual inspiration, as well as some fun freebies.
I was bold enough to ask her to do a guest blog post right here, and present one of her absolutely fabulous freebies, and she said yes!
Please welcome: Sheri – The Word Whisperer
From the Victorian age we see very romantic images, beautiful poetry, art and an age of innocense that quickly became the mass industrialization. During this time there were numerous books and articles regarding social etiquette’s, proper dress, the art of flirting using a fan and once you caught the perfect husband, the discerning mistress purchased and followed Mrs. Beeton’s Guide to Household Management.
This book contained everything from when to rise and start your day to recipes for “invalids”. You can still read the book online or purchase a copy for your collection. Its a wonderful historical view of how the middle to upper classes ran their households.
Some of the book is irrelevant now but there is no reason why we can’t develop habits that will help make our lives easier and have a complete back up to all of our electronic devices. All it takes is a printer, binder, dividers, tabs, a few free printables and an afternoon.
On my blog, I developed a couple free printables to get you started, feel free to use what makes the most sense for you. Approach it creatively, involve your kids, once you have all the information transfered , find a good place to keep it and keep it accessible for the entire family.
Here are some sample pages:
Download the entire set of printables HERE.
The important thing to remember is that you’ve saved your important information, you are not relying on technology but rather working with it, and if you feel extra industrious, pick up a few clear plastic inserts and find a home for important receipts, warranties and manuals.
Thank you to Gunnvor for hosting this post. You’re a gem!
Happy Home Organizing!

Thank you for your kind words Sandy, it makes me very happy! I loved Sheri’s journal so much myself, I really wanted to share it with more peeps! I am very proud she agreed to guest post about it here on WoW 🙂 And the calendar IS great too 😀 xoxoxo
Our next project should be a new journal….all cherubs, hearts and flowers! Gunnvor you are the Bomb!
That’s fun idea Sheri 🙂 I love journals, but I never had a half decent idea on what to put in it…lol
I can’t wait to start my own journal. Thank You!
My sentiment exactly when I saw Sheri’s journal pages 🙂
Gunnvor:
I love the planner pages. I am wondering if I could make a planner out of the pages for some family members for the Holidays. I will probably make the planners for one of the days of Chanukkah or maybe Christmas. Being Messianic we celebrate both holidays. I know I will make one for my daughter for one of the days of Chanukkah and several other ideas you have for her for both holidays.

Tank you Sweetie 🙂
My dear friend Sheri did such a wonderful job with those pages, I knew I had to convince her to share them here on WoW 😉
Have a lovely week! xoxoxo
