I’m hoping dear Ingeborg will want to USE the Journal I made for her, and add lots and lots and lots of notes & scraps herself! May it BURST with creativity 🙂 But I also wanted to include a few surprises for her, to not make turning every page too predictable 🙂 Cherub Heart pockets, with a personal note and some bookmarks inserted Sewn pockets with paper buttons, inside I put some scraps and note cards for Ingeborg to utilize An original book page with old B&W images was left unaltered A sewn JOY garland with my French Embroidery patterns Some of the “plain” journaling pages has my Vintage Celebrities for added interest Decoupaged napkins directly in the book Victorian Ladies in Paper Lace frames (punched out with my Martha Stewart edge punches) A Heart Garland wrapped directly into the book.
Remember the left over debris from making the Heart Garlands (Old Book Craft No 1)?
I glued it directly into the book with mod podge for a Glitter Confetti page 🙂
That summarizes the content of the journal. 🙂 Check out Part A for the basic content of the journal, and in part C I will share how I did the outside of the journal, and some final touches 🙂 Check out Old Book Craft No 1 for instructions on making the Heart Garland and the confetti.
I used the following Wings of Whimsy-ephemera to create surprises:
I will be adding all the high quality images of the finished journal in a special album below, so you can view the images page by page (click on the button to see the album):
