Our family bathroom also doubles as laundry room… Not the best solution, I tell ya! I love most things about my house, but this is one thing I r-e-a-l-l-y wish was different…:-P
I was going nuts over the piles of laundry in the bathroom, I swear it was breading when I turned my back on it…:-O So I decided to do something about it, and went out and purchased some nice big laundry baskets.
One basket for each of the types of laundry we do the most. Hopefully this will help the girls to sort their laundry directly into the right basket, and prevent the piles on the floor when I’m doing the laundry.. 🙂 Not the prettiest solution, but hopefully functional 😛
To decorate the baskets a little and add some vintage flair, I used some wonderful Fairy Soap graphics, I’ve been longing to use for a looong time:
The Fairy Soap graphics are all from the same little 1898 booklet. The booklet was made as a freebie, offered so people would buy more Fairy Soap. I want to buy Fairy Soap, when looking at those pictures…lol!!
I decided to print 2 images per page, but smaller than than full A4 size, since I wanted to laminate the pictures. They’ll be in a moist environment AND those laundry baskets will be handled a lot, so I wanted to make sure the graphics would be sturdy!
After laminating, I cut about 1cm around the image, and punched 2 holes in the top and 2 in the bottom, to thread the lace ribbon and tie the images to the baskets.
These files are free for your personal use and enjoyment. Go to the download folder below to grab your high quality copies 🙂
Here’s the individual baskets:
And some smaller baskets too:

I have used the following graphics for this design
I love these but don’t see them in the download folder.

Oh my goodness They´re soooo gorgeous sweetie. I absolutely LOVE these here, and I think your baskets are soooooooo cool and beautiful. I really wish I had room to do something like this, but our bathroom is so small, that it´s impossible, but I really love this. It looks soooo gorgeous and romantic, and I love the vintage feel to it. Really awesome project hun.Absolutely love love love it.
Thanks sooo much for sharing the gorgeous fairies, I´ll really turn my brain to find a use for those here in my tiny bathroom too, as I just have to find a use for them he he.
Thank you Darling 🙂 I also plan to attach a laminated medallion, with the instruction on what goes in each basket… like “dark” “white” “red”… but I’ll be making those with my new Big Shot, with text in Norwegian so my girls can read it, so those tags will not be shared as a printable…:-P If you like these for a small bathroom, you could also print them and frame you favorites to hang on the wall? xoxoxo
Yes I know, but as the only place i can have my laundrybasket is inside the shower, I´m afraid it wouldn´t last very long LOL. That´s the only minus of my place, that the bathroom is very small, but ofcause it can work, as it has for 30 years, but it is a very high wish to get a new one made, but it will takew soo much work with it to move ot elsewhere, so we can get a more spacious one, that it would be awful expensive, and as it works pretty okay, I´m not sure, it´s going to happen, as it can´t pay of to do it. But I have been thinking of a few other things, that I just need to find out, what could work best in the space we do have.
