How about THE cutest vintage sleighride I ever saw:
This is a McLaughlin’s Die Cut Coffe Trade Card, and it is part of a series of several simmilar cards. I must say I am really starting to fall in love with the coffee trade cards, so many of them were very, very elaborate, beautiful details and often created on commission with the best artists of the era!
Here’s how to easily create this little paper beauty for Christmas yourselves:
- Print out
- Score precisely along the middle line
- Fold the sheet in half along the line
- Glue the front and back together (I use spray glue, and only wait a few minutes before the next step)
- Cut out the card. I start by cutting from the front, and then trim from the back if any white edges are still showing
- Score softly along the sides of the sleigh and the cape
- Fold the bottom side flaps back to make the card stand up, and the top side flaps forward to create the folding cape
- TA-DAH: an adorable Victorian Sleighride
This card is pretty on both sides, so put it somewhere where both sides can be seen 🙂 Or if you want it on a mantle, you can put a small mirror behind it 😉

Oh! So beautiful! Double-sided,too. I, too, love vintage trade cards (of all kinds). The care and artistry put into them isn’t something that is done today, it seems. Thank you!
My sentiment exactly…:-) Enjoy! xoxoxo
