Antique Seed Catalog Reinvented – 1898 Livingston’s Farm Frame

Inspired by 2amscrapper I have chosen one of the really farm-looking seed catalog covers to create the next frame:

We all have farm ancestors, so why not fame their photo with style? Once again I used a Petrine Wiik Collection photo, or rather, a selection of a photo:

And here is a low resolution preview of the frame:

And finally a preview of the original Livingstone’s seed catalog page I used to create this frame:

  1. More very very beautiful seedbags here again. Soooo beautiful, thank you soo very much sweetie.
Have a wonderful week-end now and hopefully lots of fun too.

    1. Thank you Hunny! I’ve been busy all weekend working on my frames… The Petrine Wiik collection is about 400 images… some are too damaged to put in an album, but I’d like to include as many as possible, either as framed single images or as collages. A few of the “half-decent” images might work on collages, where they are not expected to “stand alone”… But it is a huuuge task, I’m not sure I’ll be able to complete it in 2015…lol 😉 xoxoxo

      1. Well neever mind then, if it takes 2016 as well to complete it, but I´m sure your family will love it whenever it´ll be finished, as it´ll be a wonderful keepsake for those of today, and a great way to remember those good old days too, and get to know a bit more about your ancestors too.

      2. Haha, it is not for m-y family, this is for my friend who gifted her Grandmothers photography collection to me! That is why I have so little information (yet) about who the depicted people are. But I love the photos in this collection, they are really unique compared to many other pictures I have seen from the era, and they all tell us a lot about the period. So it is pure pleasure to work with these, I might have to make t-w-o copies of the album, one for myself…lol!! This time I’m in it for the art and beauty of it, rather than personal interest 😛 xoxoxo

    1. Thank you Sweetie! I have a bunch more coming, so keep collecting 😀 It should be enough for an entire album, before I’m finished, althought that might not be t-h-i-s year…lol xoxoxo
