From the 1909 “A Manual of Wood Carving” I bring you my reinvented Wood Carved Mirrors:
They are real size paper mirrors 🙂
I printed my sheet of mirrors on Canon matte photo paper (160g), glued the sheet with spray glue to a piece of thin cardboard (cereal box) and cut out the mirrors. I inked the edges with complementary ink, and glued a soda pop tab to the back, for hanging. If you don’t want to hang your mirrors, add some pretty backing paper before cutting them out! And you can of course embellish your mirrors further, with glitter, beads, pretty ribbon or lace – these would make nice gift toppers, or card focus pieces too!
You can download and print my grunged design:
Or download the empty mirror frames and add images of your own family members, vintage or modern. Would they not be precious for a wedding, maybe used as hand fans (laminated for endurance?), or for a nursery with the childs parents – I have so many ideas for these:
Find your high quality copies in the download folder, free for your personal use and enjoyment 🙂
The lovely Belle Epoque portraits are from the Petrine Wiik Collection, and I’m also sharing those, should you need a couple of “new” portraits to play with:
