Here is part 2 of the very typical Norwegian Christmas tree ornament: the Woven Christmas Heart Basket:
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Print on regular (thin) printer paper (I used 80g paper)
- Cut out the handle
- Score on the middle line of the two heart pieces
- Fold in half on the scored line
- Cut out the heart pieces
- Cut out the slits on each heart piece
- Weave one heart piece into the other
- Attach the handle, either with glue, or you can use brads like I did
In Norway these are mostly used to decorate the Christmas Tree, but you can also see them in windows, or strung as bunting. I used mine to create a wall Christmas Tree in my office 😀

Thank you for posting this project. Many years ago I made these with my girl scout troop for valentines. We filled with candy to give their mothers. It was a very popular project. I have thought many times about looking for the pattern again but get caught up in other projects and forget. I am very happy to have this at hand.
Thank you my Dear 🙂 And please accept my sincere apologies for not answering your comment sooner. December was just too busy, but I saved your comments in my heart! xoxoxo
