French Printemps Matchbox Covers

Spring is really in the air here in Western Norway, so I’m in the mood for floral spring projects. I decided to cover some matchboxes with my French Garden Girls:
This is another super easy project, just print my ready made matchbox covers on cardstock (I use Canon Matte Photo Paper, 160g), cut out the pieces and attach them to standard matchboxes with a glue stick!

In Norway we have 3 standard sizes for matchboxes, this is the large and the small sizes. I’m not sure if the medium size is common anywhere else, please let me know if your country also has those, as there will probably be more matchbox covers coming…lol

Here is a low resolution preview of the printable sheet, enough to make covers for 2 large matchboxes and 3 small ones:

  2. Hello there, I have just discovered your wonderful blog and subscribed immediately! Thank you for sharing this. I was looking round the web for an easy project to make with kids. And this is perfect! Thank you so much. We will be making matchboxes, a large one and a small one, putting them on a couple of dinner candle, tied up with string. Perfect christmas presents for little hands to make. You are a star!!!!!!!
