Pretty Data – Royal Masks Printable

I have not shared any Pretty Data posts with you in a long, long time! Fear not, I have not given up on my research, and hope to continue my series soon! While we wait, here is a pair of fun King and Queen masks:

I recommend my usual method of glueing the sheet to thin cardboard/cereal box before cutting, to create a sturdy mask. Attach it to a wooden dowel (the kind used for flowers would be perfect for this), and set up a fun photo shoot!

Since I made these into PNG-files (transparent background) they are also perfect for digital scrapbooking! I had a blast “crowning” Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette Marit of Norway:

If you are curious about my Pretty Data project, and  interested in the Victorian and Edwardian eras, please get in touch, as I’m still hoping to sign up more helpers with my project! Warning: you’d have to be pretty crazy about imagery, somewhat interested in history, and have a (more or less secret) crush on royalty!…lol

The printables are free for your personal use and enjoyment.  Please go to the folder below to download a high quality copy:Download Printable

Antique Seed Catalog Reinvented: 1921 Henderson’s Red Swirl Labels

By the 1920ies, the seed catalogs have ceased to be colorful works of art, depicting the various flowers. Instead they now feature black and white photograpies, surely a marvel to the readers of the time, but for us, these catalogs are sadly boring. However, some fun artwork can still be found, and reinvented, like this red swirl frame, I used to create labels:

Wings of Whimsy: Antique Seed Catalogs Reinvented - 1921 Henderson's Red Swirl Label #vintage #epehemera #freebie #printable #label #red #seed #catalog I repeated 10 labels on a sheet, so you can print it out and label your stuff! Print the labels on cardstock, or print them on a full sheet of paper with sticky backing (sticker paper) to use these for your pantry, as to-and-from labels on gifts, for your notebooks, for scrapbooking, or even as small notecards.

Here is the original page I used to create the label:

I printed a couple of labels quite large, and used for my upstairs bathroom:

I ran my two large labels through the laminator, since these will be in a humid environment, and hot glued some magnets to the back to stick them on my IKEA Knodd bins. I’m still mad that I came home without the handles for the smallest bin after our summer trip, but IKEA is so far away from my house I only visit a couple of times per year. I will get the missing handles next time I go, for sure!!

In case you too have bins for garbage and laundry, I’m also including these labels, although it is probably a long shot that anyone has exactly those two containers in need of labeling…lol

Antique Seed Catalog Reinvented: 1914 Miss Ella V. Baines Rose Clocks 2,5″ Tags

Since I ended up with 12 different Rose Clocks, I could not resist gathering them all as 2,5″ tags on a sheet:

Another idea is using the pretty vintage rose page from the 1914 Miss Ella V. Baines Seed Catalog “as is”! Just print it out and cut it into strips to make tape for your scrapbooking, or use your punches to create pretty circles, hearts or other “plain” shapes :

Antique Seed Catalog Reinvented: 1914 Miss Ella V. Baines Rose Clocks No 4 of 4

And finally, the fourth set of 3 Rose Clocks is also based on the same page of vintage roses from the 1914 Miss Ella V. Baines Seed Catalog:

Wings of Whimsy: Vintage Rose Clocks No 4 of 4 #vintage #ephemera #rose #clock

If your printer can handle printing all the way to the edges, this sheet at 100% will come out with a perfect size to fit on CD’s (120mm). Meaning you can easily create working clocks with them too 😀

If not, you will have to choose “fit to page” in your printer settings, and it will come out slightly too small to use on CD’s, but still lovely for any kind of collages or why not make large circular gift tags?

I’m also including the PNG-files (transparent background) of these clocks for everyone. The resolution is so good that you can easily print a clock onto a full size A4-page if you want to make a bigger clock. I’m planning to do that with one of these, just glueing it to some cardboard. I think 80mm clock handles will be a good fit if the clocks are printed in A4 🙂

For the third set of 3 Rose Clocks I also used the same page of vintage roses from the 1914 Miss Ella V. Baines Seed Catalog:
