Throughout the ages mankind has believed many different things. Maybe the most notable misconception was that the earth was flat! But other things have been investigated and believed both to be true and disproven.
Today I’m sharing some fun illustrations from the Open Library book Fairy Tales of Science, published in 1800:
If you follow my download link above, you will see the book in the Open Library. Use my tutorial from yesterday to make sure you download the high resolution images.
Monsters, mermaids, gnomes and witches, I’m thinking some of these could be used for Halloween decorations too 🙂 Some of these I have not even heard about, maybe this book convinced the public for good?
It certainly makes me wonder what we believe in today, that will be disproven by science in the future 😀
